TUMON, GUAM – April 4, 2012 - Hilton Guam Resort & Spa welcomed wedding anniversary celebrants, Samu and Fumiko Tsujimoto on April 4th, 2012. The Tsujimotos celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary by revisiting their honeymoon location at Hilton Guam Resort & Spa. The couple spent their honeymoon at the then Guam Hilton in April of 1972, just two months after the hotel had opened.
The Tsujimotos returned to the island with 40 year-old souvenirs in tow, including the first Guam Hilton hotel brochure and breakfast coupons from Guam Hilton's buffet restaurant "The Islander".
The couple requested to stay in the Main Tower of the hotel, the same tower in which they spent their honeymoon forty years ago.
To add to the couple's celebrations, the Housekeeping team of Hilton Guam adorned the couple's King bed with rose and orchid petals, and the famous "honeymoon bear" stuffed toys. The Food & Beverage department did their part in the welcoming and provided a complimentary fresh fruit basket, along with congratulatory bottle of champagne for the couple.
Since their initial stay at the Guam Hilton in 1972, the Tsujimotos have witnessed the expansion of the hotel to three buildings, new restaurants and more cultural activities.
