TUMON BAY, Guam – November 20, 2013 – Christmas magic comes alive in the Hilton Guam Resort & Spa's main lobby, with the return of the hotel's Holiday Express Train. The train launch is scheduled for Wednesday, November 27, at 6:00pm.
The train will be on display through early January, operating from 9:00am to 10:00pm daily. As part of a longstanding tradition, the Hilton has always selected a local charity to benefit from the train sponsorship. This year, the hotel has selected the Rigalu Foundation. The Rigalu Foundation focuses on service for the island's children, such as providing homes for foster children, repairing and upgrading local public bus stops, and promoting sports tourism.
"This year we added in several local sites as we wanted to showcase parts of Guam on the display. We plan to add in a local site every year." says Makoto Yasuhara, General Manager. The event is made especially for children, as they will be given train whistles to take part in the launching of the Holiday Train. The blowing of the whistles will signal Hilton's Christmas lights and décor to magically illuminate and the locomotive cars to begin their routes in the display.
There will be a special performance by the Hurao Academy students. Refreshments will be served and there will be a special appearance by Santa Claus.
